Lachania is an old Greek village, set at the foot of the Rhodes mountains and close to the sea.  It has a small village square, shady trees, a couple of cafes and a whole lot of peace and quiet. The locals in Lachania are friendly and welcoming, the few taverns are divine and the atmosphere is idyllic.  If you’re looking for beauty, this is it.  There are white washed houses in the village, blue doors and blue windows and Lachania is really picture perfect.  In fact, it’s been the scene of many movies shot in Greece.

Lachania has a large beach, relatively remote and unspoiled.  There are many hotels and resorts close to the beach and you’ll definitely find something within your budget.  Choose a fully inclusive resort, a small bed and breakfast or an apartment.  Travel with friends or travel alone. Lachania offers sunshine, swimming, fresh food, delicious Greek wine and lots of fun.  And of course, peace and quiet too. During your stay in Rhodes, visit the old and new town, the many beaches and markets, and make time for the small churches that are in the Lachania area, white and beautiful, old and steeped in history.
