This fantastic Greek village on the island of Rhodes is popular. The Kallithea Baths, which are just outside of the village, are visited by tourists and locals alike, and the little beach just below the baths is always filled with visitors. People arrive by boat, by bike or by foot. The village of Kallithea is a little away from the hot springs or baths, which means it’s a great place to stay. The position is fantastic, there are a wide range of hotels, resorts and smaller guesthouses, the bars and taverns are alive and vibrant and the people are friendly and welcoming.
If you’ve seen photographs of Rhodes Island, you have probably seen the coves of Kallithea. There are a number of coves dotting the hills, each with a small bay or beach, sun beds to hire, wonderful swimming and great eating. You’ll find water sports centres, scuba diving, sailing and boating. There’s a lot of action in Kallithea, centred around the ocean, swimming, sunshine, food and wine. Rhodes, the old and the new town, and Lindos are nearby, making Kallithea a perfect area in which to stay. Check out the hotels now, it does get busy here!
