This is a beautiful and typical Greek village, really pretty, the highest village on the island of Rhodes. Embonas is just south of the capital and is still unspoiled, traditional and filled with local Greek atmosphere. Embonas is the epitome of a village; you will find locals wearing traditional costume, doing embroidery and baking their own delicious and special Greek recipes. Tourists and visitors are welcomed and there are some quaint and lovely places to stay, excellent restaurants and bars, good walking and stunning views.
We love the atmosphere; it is a genuine village. Come and stay for a few days or a few weeks. The food is fantastic, the people are welcoming and the streets are interesting. The walking is fab. You will find the beaches nearby and easily explore the island of Rhodes from this great base. There is a lot of accommodation in Embonas and you will find something that suits your budget and your holiday dreams. The beauty is that you are off the beaten track and so you can easily get a room, a table, do some shopping and explore quietly. And when you want to sightsee – it’s easy too.
